“If you are an alive body, no one can tell you how to experience the world. And no
can tell you what truth is, because you experience it for yourself. The body does not lie.”
Stanley Keleman

Challenges and core issues of adoptees are hard to put into words

Somatic Exploration offers an experiential format to bring the inner experience alive. Participants are guided to more deeply listen to their bodies through observing, sensing, and moving. This body-center approach enhances communication between the inner experience and the outer world.  The experiential, playful part of this class is paired with relevant information on mind-body integration based on research in Neuroscience.

This class serves as an introduction for an 8 -part monthly somatic exploration group (proposed start time October 2010). Themes for this group include boundary awareness, attachment ruptures and repair, the psychophysiology of emotions (particularly shame, rage and grief), and the nature of preverbal (adoption) trauma.

Presented by: J. Mariah Moser,  somatic therapist and trauma educator.
